Glendelvine Cricket Club celebrates it’s 90th Birthday in 2012!
The first recorded season was in 1922 after laird at the time, Alexander Lyle, gave a portion of the Glendelvine estate to form a cricket ground in 1921.
The club plays on what must be one of the most picturesque grounds in Scotland – a classic rural setting on the edge of a small village called Spittalfield (six miles east of Dunkeld on the A984).
The Club has a proud history of being one of the best small clubs in the country and has reached the Scottish final of the UK Village Cup 4 times, won the Perthshire Cricket Association cup once, won three Perthshire Cricket League titles and, most recently were Strathmore & Perthshire Cricket Union Third Division champions in 2009.
